hose

the

thermostat

housmg

Remove

the

thermostat

housmg

and

thermostat

from

the

cyhnder

head

Disconnect

all

hoses

wrres

tubes

and

cables

on

the

valve

cover

Remove

the

mtake

mamfold

with

the

carburetor

Remove

the

valve

rocker

cover

Loosen

the

valve

locknuts

and

turn

the

adJusl1ng

screws

out

to

disen

gage

the

push

rods

Then

evenly

loosen

the

rocker

shaft

bolts

and

remove

the

rocker

shaft

as

an

assembly

Withdraw

the

push

rods

and

label

them

to

keep

them

10

order

Loosen

the

cylmder

head

bolts

the

pry

gasket

tap

the

head

cylmder

head

gasket

residue

a

small

amount

of

SUItable

gasket

sealer

to

the

bottom

of

the

gasket

to

help

locate

on

the

engme

block
